This RETRO series feature a unique pattern that's commonly used in Mingei tableware (folk crafts) called slipware. The stripe pattern is hand-drawn to create a warm and soft appearance and the rice bowl is deep enough to accommodate both large and small servings. The base is taller than regular sized rice bowls, making it more stable.
